Abstract

Purpose : The purpose of this study is to understand the effects of team-based simulation training on critical thinking, clarity of communication, clinical performance ability, and self-efficacy of nursing students.

Methods : This study was conducted from October 2016 to December 2016 for 74 students who take ¡®Basic Nursing Practice¡¯. In this study, statistical analysis was conducted with SPSS 21.0 for windows and as X2-test or independent
t-test.

Results : Experimental groups participating in team based simulation training will improve the critical thinking process compared to the control group(t£½3.87, p£¼.001). The experimental group participating in the team-based simulation study will have better clinical performance than the control group. There was a statistically significant difference between the two groups(t£½7.29, p£¼.001).

Conclusion : The results showed that the critical thinking process was improved in the experimental group, the critical thinking tendency was decreased in the control group, and the improvement in clinical performance was improved in both groups. However, the improvement of communication ability and self-efficacy was found to be improved in both xperimental group and control group, but there was no difference between experimental group and control group after mediation.
